This week, Paul and Tairy attempt to rectify the mistakes from
the last show #336...
For those of you wondering who was right when Tairy was challenging
the cast member about the trolley number, this is the text from the
Plaque at the "Storytellers" Statue in Carthay Circle at DCA…
It was July 1923. I packed all of my worldly goods – a pair of
trousers, a checkered coat, a lot of drawing materials and the last
of the fairy tale reels we had made – in a kind of frayed cardboard
suitcase. And with that wonderful audacity of youth, I went to
Hollywood, arriving there with just forty dollars. It was a big day
the day I got on that Santa Fe California Limited. I was just free
and happy! ~Walt Disney
The red car (#623) would have been named 7/23, but they wanted 2
different "series" of red car with different paint jobs, so they
used the 600 series paint and "fib" a little during the red car
narration. However, I am SURE that most of the red car
trolley cast members are unaware of this little date swap or, at
least, have been told to act unaware.
